Data shrinking co Onavo wins 2 TheNextWeb awards

The company won awards for best mobile company and best liked company.

Data shrinking start-up Onavo Mobile Ltd. has won two awards at the TheNextWeb Startup Rally organized by blog The Next Web , held at the 6th TheNextWeb Conference 2011 in Amsterdam. The company won awards for best mobile company and best liked company. Silk Ltd. won first place as the best start-up for its application to facilitate searches.

Onavo was founded in 2010 by Guy Rosen and Roi Tiger. The company is developing technology aimed at lowering mobile roaming costs for subscribers and helping them understand how to surf the web from mobile devices. The company competed against 18 mobile and Internet finalists, which unveiled their products at the conference. The finalists were chosen from 300 start-ups that submitted their candidacy.
