Coca-Cola recalls Diet Kinley Mandarin

"Labels on 1.5-liter bottles of Diet Kinley Mandarin omitted the words 'includes Phenylalanine'" - an ingredient in the sweetener aspartame.

Central Bottling Company (Coca-Cola Israel) has recalled Diet Kinley Mandarin flavored beverages because of problems in the labeling of the ingredients. The company says that the beverage is safe to drink. The recall applies to a limited edition that was recently marketed.

The company's notice says, "Labels on 1.5-liter bottles of Diet Kinley Mandarin omitted the words "includes Phenylalanine" (an amino acid), which should be included on the labels of diet beverages that contain the sweetener aspartame. It should be stressed that he products are completely safe."

A consumer wishing to return the product and receive a replacement should call the service center at 1-800-587-587 between 8 am and 8 pm Sunday through Thursday, and between 8 am and 1 pm on Friday.
