Nobel stardust? BSP shares rise

Prof Daniel Shechtman is a director of the medical device company.

Shares in BSP (Biological Signal Processing Ltd.) rose 5% on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange this afternoon. There may be some connection to the award of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry to Prof. Daniel Shechtman, who is a director of the company.

BSP is the only company with Shechtman on its board. Its activity is analysis of electrical signals, with the aim of improving ECG examinations. It has a market cap of a mere NIS 12 million. It will be interesting to see what a little Nobel stardust does for its sales and share price, although there is no connection between Prof. Shechtman's field of research and what the company does.
