AnyClip Media Ltd. has signed a content licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution, giving consumers access to Warner Bros. Pictures' library of feature films. This is AnyClip's third content licensing agreement with Hollywood, following deals with Universal Studios and Vivendi Entertainment.
AnyClip's technology enables users to find any moment from any movie in its database. Its technology and innovative user experience allows consumers to relive their favorite moments from their favorite movies. The company partners with film and television studios to create new promotional channels for movies and monetize their content catalog.
AnyClip was founded by Aaron Cohen, Nate Westheimer, JVP's Erel Margalit, and Mickey Schulhof at Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP). It has 40 employees at JVP's Media Center in Jerusalem and in Santa Monica, California. It has raised $3 million from JVP and GTI Capital Group.
AnyClip will tag full feature films from the Warner Bros. library, creating a repository of video clips and data that will make any movie moment from these films easily searchable on the Web. Each film is tagged with more than 5,000 unique individual elements and added to AnyClip's growing online library, which now includes access to over 12,000 films and over 50,000 live clips.
Warner Bros is one of the world's premier movie studios, founded over a century ago, and has a current annual turnover of $5 billion.
AnyClip CEO Oren Nauman said, "There is no way now to find an item within a video clip. There are millions of video clips online, and four billion searches a day about entertainment subjects. There is no search engine that can search within a video clip. Our platform breaks up the movie into small clips of information that provides access to every second."
