IAI wins combat training system order from foreign customer

IAI has received a $35 million contract for its EHUD Autonomous Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (AACMI) system.

Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) has been awarded a $35 million contract to supply the next generation of its EHUD Autonomous Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (AACMI) system to a foreign customer.

IAI said that the system will provide a significant leap in performance to modern joint training capabilities for air, ground and naval forces.

The new EHUD AACMI system incorporates advanced technologies such as wireless communication with aircraft avionic systems, new simulation concepts, improved and flexible data link, greater processing power and increased data security.

The system is designed to meet future concepts of military training which include complex weapon systems and distributed mission-training through Live-Virtual-and Constructive (LVC) simulations.

IAI's CEO, Itzhak Nissan, said, "This program complies with the most demanding challenges of the modern live training arena. The ability to implement advanced technologies and create a rich virtual world, dramatically enhances the level of training while controlling mission safety requirements and reducing training costs."
