Strike to hit 4,000 Ben Gurion passengers tomorrow

Airlines will try to bring flights forward to reduce the impact on passengers.

Tomorrow's general strike, which includes the shutting down of Ben Gurion Airport between 6 am and noon, will affect 4,000 departing passengers, the Israel Airports Authority said today. The Airports Authority has opened a situation room to manage air traffic during the strike, as well as the handling of arriving and departing flights as soon as the strike is over.

Airlines will try to bring flights forward to reduce the impact on passengers, as they did in the previous general strike a few months ago. Flight schedules will be updated during the day, and airlines advise passengers to keep abreast of developments.
