Shekel mixed ahead of holidays

The shekel is losing ground against the dollar but stronger against the euro in inter-bank trading today.

The shekel is weakening against the dollar but stronger against the euro in inter-bank trading today. The shekel-dollar exchange rate is up 0.15%, compared with yesterday's representative rate, to NIS 3.751/$, while the shekel-euro exchange rate is down 0.54% to NIS 4.898/€.

In international markets, the dollar is weakening against leading currencies, trading at $1.315/€ against the euro and at ¥82.19/$ against the yen.

In the US, ADP Employer Services reported that company payrolls increased by 209,000 in March, after increasing by 230,000 in February. New unemployment claims figures for March will be published today. In Europe, the European Central Bank kept the interest rate unchanged at 1%.
