D&B ranks Masada top Israel entrance-fee tourist site
D&B said that there were 5,617,840 visitors to entrance-fee tourist sites in Israel in 2011, down 1% from 2010.
In second place, according to D&B, was the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo where 746,639 visitors paid NIS 29.5 million. In third place was the Ramat Gan Safari Park, up from fifth place in 2010, with 744,550 visitors paying NIS 35.2 million, a higher amount on less visitors than the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo.
Overall, D&B said that there were 5,617,840 visitors to entrance-fee tourist sites in Israel in 2011, down 1% from 2010.
The ranking does not include non-fee paying sites such as the Bahai Temple and gardens in Haifa, which had 963,000 visitors in 2011 or the Western Wall in Jerusalem, which does not count the number of visitors. D&B ranks museums on another list.
