Babylon: Problems with Google minor

Babylon CEO: It's good that someone is policing and tidying up the Internet.

Online translation company Babylon Ltd. (TASE:BBYL) reported this morning that as part of procedural audit by Google Inc. (Nasdaq: GOOG), it had received a letter from the search engine company outlining certain defects in the fulfillment of provisions of the agreement between the two companies.

At the same time, Babylon said that it had reached an understanding with Google on additions to the agreement, which will give the online translation company more tools for improving services to customers and expanding use of its products.

Babylon CEO Alon Carmeli told "Globes," "When you reach a certain size, and we have crossed that threshold, then you have rights and obligations. One of the obligations is more frequent examinations. We have been given a list of defects to correct but these are minor defects."

Carmeli added, "It is good that someone is policing and tidying up the Internet."

He said that in a few days the company would be posting a set of features that are "very good for the company." The unique features, according to Carmeli, are related among other things to automatically completing search words, and these features are to the best of Carmeli's knowledge the first of their kind in the world to be received from Google.
