Mon: Leviathan partners fail to lift flat market

Delek units Delek Drilling and Avner, and Ratio rose strongly on news of the Woodside deal.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) was virtually unchanged today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index was unchanged at 1,232.34 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.10% to 1,090.98 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.69% to 338.23 points. Turnover was NIS 1.08 billion.

The TASE was flat today in line with directionless trading in Europe and early slight rises on Wall Street.

Average trading volume in November according to the TASE was NIS 950 million per day, 17% down on the preceding two months, and 11% down on the 2012 average so far.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds were unchanged and long-term Galil CPI-linked government bonds fell by up to 0.2%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.12%.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.807/$, down 0.08% on Friday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.959/€, up 0.08%.

In the stock market, the Leviathan partners were the focus of attention after Australia's Woodside agreed to buy a 30% stake for up to $2.5 billion. Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) units Delek Drilling Limited Partnership (TASE: DEDR.L) and Avner rose 5.4% and 4.4% respectively, while Delek Group itself rose 0.7%. Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L) rose 4.9%.

Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 3.2% and Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 2.6% after two days of strong rises following Partner's sale to Haim Saban. Scailex and Suny, Partner's parent companies fell 5.4% and 23.4% respectively.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.13% after publishing its 2013 guidance last Friday and Merrill Lynch lowered its target price to $52 though it left its "Buy" recommendation.

Babylon Ltd. (TASE:BBYL) fell another 5.3% today.
