Mon: Teva and Mellanox still falling

Teva fell despite setting up a South Korean joint venture and Mellanox again lost ground as the market fell for the fourth-straight session.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.64% to 1,211.65 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.68% to 1,063.85 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index fell 0.62% to 324.27 points. Turnover was NIS 885.3 million.

The leading TASE indices fell for the fourth straight session, along with falls on European markets but rises at the opening on Wall Street.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds were unchanged and long term CPI-linked bonds fells by between 0.1% and 0.3%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.12%.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.777/$, down 0.58% on Friday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.969/€, down 0.16%.

In the stock market, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA), which fell 0.6% and Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX; TASE:MLNX), which fell 0.5%, continued yesterday's strong losses. Teva fell despite reporting setting up a joint venture in South Korea, and on the day's highest trading volume of NIS 99 million.

It was a bad day for telecom shares with the Communications Index falling 1.5%. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) fell 1.7% and Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) fell 1.9%.

Partner's controlling shareholder Scailex Corporation (TASE: SCIX; Pink Sheets:SCIXF) was down 8.4% after a class action suit was filed against it regarding the sale of Partner to Haim Saban.

PhotoMedex Inc. (Nasdaq: PHMD; TASE: PHMD) Inc. rose 0.6% to complete a 7% rise in two days after announcing an extension to its Japanese distribution agreement and raising guidance.

Babylon Ltd. (TASE:BBYL) rose 2.8% after falling 9.2% yesterday and Allot Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq:ALLT; TASE: ALLT) rose 1% after falling 12.1% yesterday.
