Kinneret rises further 6.5 cm

The lake continues rising despite the dry, mild weather, the Water Authority reports.

The water level in the Kinneret rose another 6.5 centimeters over the past few days to 210.90 meters below sea level, despite the respite in rains and the unseasonably mild and dry weather, the Water Authority reported today.

The level of the Kinneret is now 2.1 meters short of the optimal higher red line.

Since Friday January 4, the water level in the Kinneret has risen 1.03 meters, and since its lowest point this winter it has risen by 1.43 meters.
