In responses to media reports that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to adopt a proposal by employers organizations to limit the authority of the labor courts, Histadrut chairman Ofer Eini said, "As I announced before the elections, the Histadrut (General Federation of Labor in Israel) will not allow a cut of even one shekel of workers' money, and it will fight to the end with all the means at its disposal every attempt to harm workers."
Eini added, "The labor courts are an inseparable of the legal system, which is responsible for the rule of law and democracy in Israel. The labor courts have a critical role in labor relations in the economy, and any harm to them damages democracy, the rule of law, and labor relations in Israel, and I will not let that happen.
