Sources inform ''Globes'' that Apple Inc. (Nasdaq: AAPL) has rented office space in Ra'anana for its third development center in Israel. The company has rented 3,000 square meters in the Millennium House from Ofer Investments Ltd. unit Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR), after examining several properties in the area.
The sources added that Apple signed a six-year lease with several shorter options to extend, and will pay NIS 65 per square meter per month, not including management fees. The center will employ 200 people. Apple will renovate the premises to meet its needs.
Apple also has offices, which it inaugurated last year, at Haifa's Matam High Tech Park, and in Herzliya Pituah. The company has hired 100 employees of Texas Instruments Israel in Ra'anana, and rented the premises in the city for them.
Melisron declined to comment on the report, and Apple was unavailable for comment.
