Kinneret rises 3cm

The water level is 209.91 meters below sea level, 1.11 meters below the upper red line which denotes that the lake is full.

The rain over the past few days has resulted in the water level of the Kinneret rising by three centimeters, after remaining unchanged in recent weeks because of the dry spell in February and March. The water level is 209.91 meters below sea level, 1.11 meters below the upper red line which denotes that the lake is full.

The Water Authority says that, despite the rainfall, there has been no substantial increase in the water flows in the rivers feeding into the Kinneret in the past few days, and that the rise in the lake's water level will be temporary.

42 millimeters of rain fell over the Kinneret basin over the weekend, and 30-40 millimeters fell over the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights.

The rain will continue today and tomorrow, after which temperatures will rise through the end of the week.
