Oxitone to participate in GE Healthcare incubator

Oxitone Medical has developed a wrist-worn wireless pulse oximeter for measuring oxygen saturation, heart rate and respiratory rate.

Oxitone Medical Ltd., which has developed a wrist-worn, medical-grade wireless pulse oximeter for measuring oxygen saturation, heart rate and respiratory rate, has been accepted by GE Healthcare's Startup Health incubator. Oxitone will one of the 13 start-ups participating in the incubator's three-year program.

Oxitone is the only non-US company in the program, although one company is a joint US-Irish venture. 400 start-ups from 22 countries applied for the program. GE Healthcare will not invest in the ventures, but will provide mentoring, access to resources, connections to potential investors, and public relations in exchange for 2-10% stakes in the companies.

Oxitone CEO Dr. Leon Eisin founded the Ashkelon-based company.
