Tue: Perrigo fails to depress flat market

Perrigo fell after publishing its financials, while EZchip posted the biggest gain on the Tel Aviv 25 Index.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.07% to 1,210.68 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.12% to 1,088.41 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.15% to 303.24 points. Turnover was NIS 859.7 million.

The TASE rose slightly today, in line with gains European market and at the opening on Wall Street.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.56, down 0.28% on yesterday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.673/€, down 0.08%

In the bond market, both long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds and long term Galil CPI-linked government bonds rose by up to 0.4%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.31%.

In the stock market, Perrigo Company (Nasdaq:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 1.9%, for the biggest loss among Tel Aviv 25 shares, in line with losses at the opening on Nasdaq, following the publication of its financials. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.2%.

EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: EZCH; TASE:EZCH) rose 2.1% for the biggest gain among Tel Aviv 25 shares, but its high-tech peers on the index, Mellanox Technologies Ltd. (Nasdaq:MLNX; TASE:MLNX) and NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 0.5% and 1.3%, respectively.

Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) rose 1.5% on the day's biggest turnover of NIS 56 million, and boosting the Banking Index 1.1%. On the Tel Aviv 100 Index, a 2.9% gain by Harel Insurance Investments and Financial Services Ltd. (TASE: HARL) boosted the Insurance Index 1.4%.

Shufersal Ltd. (TASE:SAE) rose 3.5%, after publishing good financials.

Elsewhere in the market, Kardan NV (TASE: KRNV;AEX:KARD) rose 12.8%, Camtek Ltd. (Nasdaq: CAMT; TASE:CAMT) rose 8.6%, InsuLine Medical Ltd. (TASE: INSL) rose 15.2%, Israel Land Development Company Energy Ltd. (TASE: IE) rose 12.9%, and Elbit Imaging Ltd. (Nasdaq: EMITF; TASE: EMIT) rose 6.4%.
