The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.11% to 1,209.31 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.09% to 1,087.40 points, but the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.07% to 303.46 points. Turnover was NIS 1.04 billion.
A late drop sent the leading TASE indices down, in line with losses at opening on Wall Street, and despite gains on European markets.
In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.564/$, up 0.11% on yesterday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.679/€, up 0.12%.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds rose by up to 0.1%, but long term Galil CPI-linked government bonds fell up to 0.1%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.17%.
In the stock market, EZchip Semiconductor Ltd. (Nasdaq: EZCH; TASE:EZCH) rose 3.2%, for the biggest gain among Tel Aviv 25 shares, but NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) fell 0.8%, after the two companies published their financials.
Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) also fell 1.5%, after publishing its financials.
Oil Refineries Ltd. (TASE:ORL) fell 1.6% for the biggest loss among Tel Aviv 25 shares, and its peer on the index, Paz Oil Company Ltd. (TASE:PZOL) rose 0.7%.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) fell 0.2% on the day's biggest turnover of NIS 58.7 million.
On the Tel Aviv 100 Index, Allot Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq:ALLT; TASE: ALLT) rose 4.1%, after publishing its financials yesterday. Ormat Industries Ltd. (TASE: ORMT) fell 1.3%, after its US subsidiary, Ormat Technologies Inc. (NYSE: ORA), swung to a net loss for the first quarter.
Leviathan partner Ratio Oil Exploration (1992) LP (TASE:RATI.L) fell 3.9%, after raising in an offering today.
Small-cap IceCure Ltd. (TASE: ICCM) rose 16%, after reporting promising results in a study of its technique for ablating breast cancer tumors.
