VAT hike postponed from Saturday to Sunday

The hike from 17% to 18% has been pushed back from Saturday, June 1, to avoid desecrating the Sabbath.

The VAT hike from 17% to 18%, has been pushed back by one day, Saturday, June 1, to avoid desecrating the Sabbath to Sunday, at the request of MK Nissan Slomiansky (Habayit Hayehudi).

Slomiansky said that he was pleased by the Ministry of Finance's response, and he hopes that in the future, no changes would be planned to take place on the Sabbath.
