Thu: Tel Aviv 25 Index up 0.5% on week

Stocks ended the week on an upbeat, with Gazit-Globe, Teva, Israel Corporation and Bezeq leading the rise.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.48% to 1,195.09 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.25% to 1,075.51 points, but the BlueTech 50 Index fell 0.28% to 301.50 points. Turnover was NIS 783.2 million.

The leading TASE indices rose today, in line with gains on European markets. Wall Street was closed for US Independence Day. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.5% for the week.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the representative shekel-dollar exchange rate at NIS 3.633/$, down 0.49% on yesterday's rate, and set the representative shekel-euro exchange rate at NIS 4.725/€, down 0.19%.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds and long term Galil CPI-linked government both rose. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.20%

In the stock market, Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) fell 0.4%, after announcing that its partner in Strauss Coffee plans to sell its stake. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) rose 0.3%, amid reports that its insurance company is balking at covering part of the company's $1.6 billion patent infringement settlement with Pfizer.

Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 1%, to complete a 30% gain since the beginning of the year. Gazit-Globe Ltd. (NYSE: GZT; TASE: GZT) rose 1.5% on day's biggest turnover of NIS 53.9 million.

Israel Corporation (TASE: ILCO) rose 1.8% for the biggest gain among Tel Aviv 25 shares, and Azrieli Group Ltd. (TASE: AZRG) fell 0.9% for the biggest loss on the index.

Elsewhere in the market, Enlight Renewable Energy Solutions Ltd. (TASE:ENLT) rose 7.2% after winning a tender to buy two photovoltaic energy projects together with Noy Infrastructure and Energy Investment Fund . Small-cap Allium Medical Ltd. (TASE: ALMD) rose 15.3% after a obtaining a US patent, and InsuLine Medical Ltd. (TASE: INSL) rose 10.1%, after obtaining German insurance indemnification for its insulin treatment.
