The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) rose today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index rose 0.20% to 1,207.24 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index rose 0.16% to 1,100.97 points, and the BlueTech 50 Index rose 1.36% to 317.77 points. Turnover was NIS 449.7 million.
The TASE rose slightly today, in line with gains on European markets and in contrast to losses on Wall Street on Friday.
In the foreign currency market, options pointed to no change in the shekel-dollar exchange rate, compared with Friday's representative rate of NIS 3.562/$, and to a 0.05% dip in the shekel-euro exchange rate to NIS 4.749/€.
In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds fell by up 0.5% and long term Galil CPI-linked government bonds fell by up to 0.6%. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index fell 0.14%.
In the stock market, NICE Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: NICE; TASE: NICE) rose 3.1% for the biggest gain among Tel Aviv 25 shares. Perrigo Company (NYSE:PRGO; TASE:PRGO) fell 2.8%, for the biggest loss on the index, after publishing its financial report for its fourth fiscal quarter on Thursday.
Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) rose 0.3% on the days' biggest turnover of NIS 31 million.
Mizrahi Tefahot Bank (TASE:MZTF) led the banks with a gain of 1.6%. The Banking Index rose 1%.
Elsewhere in the market, Mazor Robotics Ltd. (Nasdaq: MZOR; TASE:MZOR) rose 4% and AudioCodes Ltd. (Nasdaq: AUDC; TASE: AUDC) rose 6.6%. Compugen Ltd. (Nasdaq: CGEN; TASE: CGEN) rose 7.4%, to complete a 56% gain since the beginning of the month.
Melisron Ltd. (TASE: MLSR) rose 2.6%, after publishing good financials. Excellence Brokerage says that the company continues to publish satisfactory results, and marks it the cheapest Israeli income-producing property company.
Alvarion Ltd. (Nasdaq: ALVR; TASE: ALVR) rose 59.5% on a positive arbitrage gap.
