Int'l business schools return to recruit in Israel

The QS World MBA Tour and QS World Grad School Tour will visit Tel Aviv on October 7.

Some of the world’s top business schools and graduate schools will descend upon Tel Aviv on 7 October in hope of recruiting the country’s best talent on to their 2014/2015 programs.

The QS World MBA Tour and QS World Grad School Tour, two of the world’s largest graduate education events, will be bringing top names such as Boston U, Boston, HEC, HULT, IE, INSEAD, Thunderbird, to meet face-to-face with potential MBA as well as Masters and PhD candidates.

The events come at a time where MBA salaries in Western Europe saw a 4% growth in 2013* and preliminary findings from a survey of over 4,000 students who attended the QS World Grad School from 2012-13 found that an average of 75% of applicants around the world said they believed a graduate degree would boost their employment prospects.

Nunzio Quacquarelli, director of the QS World MBA Tour says: “According to our latest survey on MBA employers, there is a sense of renewed optimism with recovery in sight around the world. Europe’s MBA recruitment market remains stable with a 1% growth in 2013 but is forecast to accelerate in 2014, with Western European employers projecting 6% growth.”

Whilst Tel Aviv has always been a hot recruitment spot for business schools hunting for their future MBA candidates, this is the first year the QS World Grad School has decided to travel to the city.

Peter Macdonald, director of the QS World Grad School Tour says: “With global economic conditions remaining unpredictable, now more than ever, students are increasingly looking towards a postgraduate degree in order to help them stand out from the crowd and secure employment.”

He continues, “Besides from being a strong MBA recruitment destination, universities are beginning to recognise Tel Aviv as an international hub with students actively looking to study abroad in a wide range of subjects. I would encourage those who are unsure as to whether an MBA or a Masters/PhD is right for them to attend both events in order to gain a broader view of their options.”

Candidates can learn more about the Masters or PhD application process at the free “Understanding the grad school application process” seminar at the QS World Grad School Tour and the “Getting into business school” panel discussion at the QS World MBA Tour.

All attendees are eligible to apply to the QS Scholarship Scheme which currently has over $1.2 million in exclusive funding.
