Netanyahu: Integration of Arabs will bring growth

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a conference on minorities that more money was being invested in infrastructures for minority sectors.

"An important part of growth will come from the integration of Israeli-Arab citizens in the Israeli economy. This is important for all us, because it will add an important element to growth. This is the policy that guides us,"said Prime Minister's Conference Partners in Growth - economic development of minority sectors, in Tel Aviv today.

"As a government, we must provide infrastructures in all areas, and for this we have taken NIS 5 billion and we are putting it there, in all sectors and all locations."

Netanyahu added, "I want to encourage private and business entrepreneurship. Everything will be technology, and that is why we emphasize education. I call on Israeli companies to tap this huge resource,"

Netanyahu called on Israeli Arabs to contribute their bit. "This also requires you to act. I want that the ambition to exploit and fulfill excellence to be found in every child in Israel, both Jewish and Arab. You should invest in your human and personal infrastructure."

Commenting on crime in the Arab community, Netanyahu said, "We cannot promise economic development without promising law. We must respect the law. This is critical and it is in every area. An equitable society in both rights and obligations."
