60% of the holiday suites have already been bought, for prices ranging upward from NIS 3 million to NIS 15 million for penthouses.

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC has announced that its first hotel in Israel will open on December 17. The Herzliya Ritz-Carlton will have 197 rooms with sea views. The 12-floor hotel, built atop the Arena mall overlooking the marina over four years, will have holiday suites available for purchase from the company.

60% of the holiday suites have already been bought, for prices ranging upward from NIS 3 million to NIS 15 million for penthouses. The hotel rooms cost NIS 2,200 a night. The hotel proudly mentions its 220-square meter Presidential Suite and its kosher Herbert Samuel Restaurant with chef Jonathan Roshfeld. Ritz-Carlton president and 50 VPs will inaugurate the new hotel.

The Ritz-Carlton currently has 80 hotels worldwide. The Herzliya Ritz-Carlton was built by Tidhar Ltd. and Adis Investments Ltd., owned by Adi and Irit Strauss. The Ritz-Carlton's opening precedes the arrival of other prestigious chains to Israel, including the Waldorf Astoria, which is due to open a hotel in Jerusalem.
