Anat Levin appointed Migdal CEO

Levin (50) currently serves as Bank Hapoalim deputy CEO and head of the financial markets division.

Anat Levin has accepted the offer of Migdal Insurance and Financial Holdings Ltd. (TASE: MGDL) controlling shareholder Shlomi Eliahu to serve as CEO of the company, succeeding Yonel Cohen, who recently resigned. The appointment comes just a day after a "Globes" exclusive that she would get the job.

Levin (50) currently serves as Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) deputy CEO and head of the financial markets division.

Levin is the latest woman appointed to a top position in the economy, following the recent appointments of Governor of the Bank of Israel Karnit Flug, Ministry of Finance director general Yael Andoran, Supervisor of Capital Markets, Insurance, and Savings Dorit Salinger, and Israel Discount Bank (TASE: DSCT) CEO Lilach Asher-Topilsky.
