IBC: How companies build competitive strategies

Unilever Israel chairwoman and managing director Anat Gabriel, Pelephone CEO, Gil Sharon, Walla CEO Ilan Yeshua, and El Al CEO Elyezer Shkedi will participate in a panel at the "Globes" 2013 Israel Business Conference

How can companies build a competitive strategy? Should a strategy be fixed or adaptable to market moods? If the latter, what do we mean? Which factors should be considered, and which formula should be applied a long-term, flexible, or opportunistic strategy? Participants in the "Strategic management in changing markets" session will discuss these and other questions at the "Globes" 2013 Israel Business Conference.

The participants will be Unilever Israel Ltd. chairwoman and managing director Anat Gabriel, Pelephone Communications Ltd. CEO Gil Sharon, Walla Communications (TASE: WALA) CEO Ilan Yeshua, El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) CEO Elyezer Shkedi, and Ashdod Port Company Ltd. chairman Gideon Siterman. Udi Aharoni, the CEO of the LAHAV Executive Education at the Recanati School of Business at Tel Aviv University will be the moderator.

The 2013 "Globes" Israel Business Conference, the country's largest business conference, will be held this year under the title "The Global Economy in 2014". It is Israel's premier and most prestigious economic event, attended by decision-makers, businesspeople, government officials, academics, researchers, spokespersons, and delegations from Israel and around the world. The conference will offer analyses and insights by leading economics and academics, businesspeople, and policymakers from Israel and other countries.

The 2013 "Globes" Israel Business Conference will be held on December 8-9. 2013, at the David Intercontinental Hotel in Tel Aviv.
