Tue: Bezeq pulls market down

Bezeq fell 4.5% on the day's biggest turnover, but fellow telcos Cellcom and Partner rose.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) fell today. The Tel Aviv 25 Index fell 0.25% to 1,346.72 points, the Tel Aviv 100 Index fell 0.32% to 1,213.57 points, but the BlueTech 50 Index rose 0.10% to 326.42 points. Turnover was NIS 1.54 billion.

The TASE fell today, after mixed sessions on European markets and despite gains at the opening on Wall Street.

In the foreign currency market, the Bank of Israel set the shekel-dollar representative exchange rate at NIS 3.542/$, down 0.59% on yesterday's rate, and set the shekel-euro representative exchange rate at NIS 4.799/€, down 0.35%.

In the bond market, long-term Shahar unlinked shekel government bonds and long-term Galil CPI-linked government bonds were mixed. The corporate bond benchmark Tel-Bond 20 Index rose 0.08%.

In the stock market, Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Co. Ltd. (TASE: BEZQ) fell 4.5% on the day's biggest turnover of NIS 149.5 million, but mobile carrier Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) rose 1.8%, for the biggest gain on the index. Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) rose 0.4%. food company Strauss Group Ltd. (TASE:STRS) rose 1.6%, after publishing its financials.

Delek Group Ltd. (TASE: DLEKG) fell 2.2%, , and its energy exploration units Avner Oil and Gas LP (TASE: AVNR.L) and Delek Drilling LP (TASE: DEDR.L) both fell 1.2%, after announcing that gas had been found at the Tamar SW well.

Mid-cap El Al Israel Airlines Ltd. (TASE: ELAL) fell 0.7%, after announcing the launch of its low-cost brand "Up", which will begin operations in 2014. Camtek Ltd. (Nasdaq: CAMT; TASE:CAMT) rose another 18.8%, following its entry into the 3D printer market for PCBs.

Sapiens International NV (Nasdaq: SPNS; TASE: SPNS) fell 0.5%, after Barclays Capital and Needham & Co. initiated coverage of its share.

Neto Malinda Trading Ltd. (TASE: NTML) rose 2.4%, after pulling out of the Nochi-Dankner-Alexander Granovsky consortium bidding for IDB Holding Corp. Ltd. (TASE:IDBH). IDB fell 3.2%.

Middle East Tube Ltd. (METCO) (TASE: TUBE) fell 4.5%, after a contract for pipes was cancelled.
