Tel Aviv court dismisses Amdocs suit against T-Jat

Judge Anat Baron: T-Jat's managers agreed that the claim against them would be included in the US arbitration.

In the latest development in the dispute between Amdocs Ltd. (Nasdaq: DOX) and T-Jat Systems Ltd., Tel Aviv District Court Judge Anat Baron dismissed on Tuesday the claim filed in Israel. The arbitration in the US continues over the companies' claims and counterclaims.

Amdocs sued T-Jat and two of its managers, Gideon Drori and Oleg Golobrodsky, in Tel Aviv, for NIS 20 million.

In December 2013, the US District Court for the Southern District of New York issued an injunction banning the companies from legal proceedings that might affect the arbitration in the US, including the claim in Israel. The New York court noted that Drori and Golobrodsky were not parties to the agreement that is the subject of the arbitration. Judge Baron ruled that they had agreed that the claim against them would be included in the US arbitration and therefore dismissed the claim in Israel.

T-Jat's attorney Shachar Agmon said, "Complaints are being filed against Amdocs's lawyers with the Israel Bar Association and the New York State Bar. We also intend to sue for tens of millions of dollars in damages against Amdocs's law firm and against Amdocs's managers personally for filing a claim knowingly based on mendacious facts and deliberate misleading of the court."
