4 Life Sentences for Tsurif Gang Terrorist who Murdered Sharon Edri, Participated in Apropos Attack

The terrorist, who expressed no remorse for his actions, also took part in the attacks in which the Unger couple and the Munk family were murdered.

The Lod military court today sentenced Hamas terrorist Riyad Abu-Hamadia, 22, a resident of Hebron, to four consecutive terms of life imprisonment, plus a five year sentence. Abu-Hamadia was convicted of a series of serious terrorist attacks, including the kidnapping and murder of soldier Sharon Edri, the attack on the Apropos cafe in Tel Aviv, as well as the attacks in which the couple Yaron and Efrat Unger and the Munk family met their deaths.

The prosecutor asked the court to impose cumulative life sentences for each of the offences attributed to him.

The judges acceded to the prosecution’s request, and handed down four life sentences plus an additional five year sentence on the accused.

One of the judges, in a minority opinion, handed down a death sentence.

The judges stated in sentencing that the web of horrific acts laid before them was one of the most shocking ever brought before a court of law in Israel.

At the end of the hearing, the prisoner said he felt no remorse for his deeds, and was even proud of them. His counsel claimed the sentence was too severe, and was vengeful.
