The tender is for supplies worth NIS 130 million. El Al stated today that the final price depends on fluctuations in world prices during the tender period - the next six months.
A few weeks ago, El Al selected the bid from Paz as the winning bid in the tender for supply of jet fuel for all the airline’s flights for the next six months, El Al told "Globes".
The jet fuel market was opened up to competition only eighteen months ago, and, since then, three six-monthly tenders have taken place for supplying jet fuel to El Al and the foreign airlines that operate in Israel. In the previous tender, Paz was joint winner with Sonol. Paz won the first tender together with Sonol and Dor.
