Saarland business and science delegation to visit next week
Four managers of nanotechnology companies will discuss possible joint projects with Israeli companies and research institutes.
Saarland Business Development Authority chairman Thomas Schuck will head the delegation, accompanied by four managers of nanotechnology companies that develop and manufacture a range of products.
The companies' products are applied in several industries, including cosmetics; pharmaceuticals; antirust and anti-scratch coatings for the automobile, steel, aluminum and aeronautics industries, and anti-bacteriological coatings for the medical devices industry.
Saarland Business Development Authority representative in Israel Dov Raviv said Saarland was an important European center for biotechnology and nanotechnology, and that it was investing in developing academic, commercial and business ties with Israel.
A number of Israeli companies are active in Saarland, utilizing state incentives for investors, and exploiting the state's rapid access to continental distribution networks to the neighboring countries of France, Luxembourg and Belgium.
