Sagitta raises $2.5m

Tamir Fishman Venture Capital, Pitango Venture Capital, Ascend Technology Ventures and Alice Ventures participated in the round

Sagitta has raised $2.5 million from its investors, according to the Tamir Fishman Venture Capital's (TASE:TFVC) financial report for the third quarter of 2004.

Tamir Fishman Venture Capital, Pitango Venture Capital, Ascend Technology Ventures, and Alice Ventures participated in the round, increasing their stakes in the company. Sagitta investor Orbotech (Nasdaq:ORBK) did not participate in the round.

Sagitta has raised $28 million in three financing rounds to date.

Founded in 1997, Sagitta has 50 employees. It develops automated products to increase productivity and quality control for fiber optics and semiconductor companies. Its product line includes machines for simultaneously smoothing, cleaning and testing scores of optical products. Sagitta's products are intended to replace existing products on the market with automated products.
