Dmatek announces $500,000 in new prisoner monitoring system orders

CEO Yoav Reisman: “We look forward to continuing our partnership with the French and Spanish ministries of justice."

Dmatek (LSE:DTK), a provider of electronic monitoring technologies, today announced new orders for monitoring equipment from new and existing clients in France and Spain.

The orders were received by Dmatek’s wholly owned subsidiary, Elmo-Tech Ltd., which provides monitoring solutions to the global law enforcement market. Supply of the new orders, on a lease basis, will commence immediately. The initial estimated value of the additional business from these orders is $500,000.

In France, a new 18-month regional pilot program will be launched in Reunion, using Elmo-Tech monitoring systems. Additionally, a supply contract in the Bordeaux region, which was first awarded to Elmo-Tech in 2001, was renewed for another 18-month period. Ten of the 13 pilot programs in France are currently using Elmo-Tech’s offender monitoring equipment.

In Spain, the Spanish sub-directorate of penitentiary services is expanding the use of remote offender monitoring. The recent order will enable the Spanish Penitentiary Services to increase the number of offenders participating in the program and allow for a broader range of monitoring tools and options, such as monitoring through voice verification.

Dmatek CEO Yoav Reisman said, “We are very pleased with these developments and look forward to continuing our partnership with the French and Spanish Ministries of Justice." He added, “Administrations are growing confident with the tool and are opting to enhance its usage in more than one way, which leads to the evident growth trend we are experiencing across Europe.”

Dmatek's technological platform is based on a system architecture and operating methodology, which can be implemented in many different commercial sectors. Current applications of the company's core technology are marketed by Dmatek's wholly owned subsidiaries Elmo-Tech Ltd., which addresses the global law enforcement field, and HomeFree Systems, which operates in the emerging tele-homecare market and currently focuses on Alzheimer's patients.

Dmatek's systems are used by private operators and government agencies in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Latin America and across Europe, in Sweden, England, Scotland, Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal and Andorra.
