Shafrir Engineering and Ramet Ltd. were the only companies to submit bids to build the bridge, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava.
"Shafir Civil and Marine Engineering will be declared the winner of the tender to build Jerusalem Mass Transit System Project's Calatrava bridge," said a senior Ministry of Transport official last week. He said the Moriah Jerusalem Development Corporation tenders committee would meet in two weeks to announce the winner.
Shafrir Engineering and Ramet Ltd. were the only companies to submit bids to build the bridge, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava. Shafrir Engineering and a French company submitted a bid of NIS 125-130 million; Ramet's bid was 15% higher.
