Xeround raises $6.5m from Benchmark, Giza VC

The start-up provides signaling software solutions to carriers that deploy VoIP and next generation IP services.

Xeround Systems, a provider of signaling solutions to carriers for VoIP and next generation IP services, has raised a financing round of $ 6.5 million from investors Benchmark Capital and Giza Venture Capital.

Xeround Systems was founded in 2005 by Sharon Barkai and Gilad Zlotkin. The company provides scalable signaling software solutions to carriers that deploy VoIP and next generation IP services in large scale.

Xeround CEO Sharon Barkai said, "This financing enables Xeround to build top quality core development, sales and marketing teams, and to focus on bringing product to market early next year".

Benchmark Capital partner Nachman Shelef stated, "We think the VoIP market is picking up momentum and that Xeround addresses significant issues that the industry will need to resolve as this market turns prime-time and complies with what consumers expect from a main stream communication service".

Giza managing director Ori Kirshner said, "We found in Xeround all the ingredients to build a large company: a dream team, a brilliant solution and a booming market".
