Tech journal "Red Herring" will this week unveil the "Red Herring 100 Europe", a selection of the 100 private companies in Europe and Israel that play a leading role in innovation and technology. This is the first time that the magazine has compiled a list focused exclusively on the most promising start-ups in Europe and Israel.
Red Herring's editorial team evaluated the technology, financing, marketing, sales, service, leadership, and business strategies of the 200 finalists. The top 100 companies selected to the final list will be presented by their CEOs at the Venture Market Europe 2005, now taking place in London.
22 Israeli companies feature prominently on the Red Herring 100 Europe list. They are BitBand Technologies, CableMatrix Technologies, Connect One, Kayote Networks, D-Pharm, Exanet, Exent Technologies, EZchip, Flash Networks, FlexLight Networks, Followap, Kilolambda Technologies, Mellanox, Orsense, Safend SanRAD, TdSoft, Telmap, StoreAge Networking, Unicorn Solutions, Unipier, and Wisair. SanRAD and Wisair are RAD-Bynet group companies.
Allot Communications, Beyond Security, dbMotion, Ex Libris, HumanEyes, Magink Display Technologies, Mobileye, Native Networks, Onset Technology, and Voltaire were among those who made the short list (the top 200) for the award.
