Press-Sense raises $5m

The start-up develops print house management solutions. Evergreen and Vertex led the round.

Press-sense, a developer of enterprise software solutions for the commercial printing industry, today announced the closing of a $5 million round of financing led by Evergreen Ventures and Vertex Venture Capital.

Press-sense’s products help commercial printers manage and optimize their entire business cycle, from customer interaction to pricing, production planning and inventory management.

The company was founded in 2001 by Amir Karby as a spin-off from ProImage, an Israeli software developer of newspaper production systems. The initial focus of Press-sense was web-based software solutions for managing digital printing. Since then, the company has expanded its offering to an ERP-like solution for the management of the entire printing house.

Press-sense CEO Shlomo Ben-David said, “This financing round, lead by two of the leading Israeli VCs, is in excellent timing for Press-sense. The company already has hundreds of customers worldwide, and very strong relationship with the industry leaders. The financing will help us expand our sales organization worldwide and as such leverage our unique technology and product suite to position ourselves as a market leader.”
