PortAuthority raises $13.4m

Greylock Partners and Sequoia Capital led the round with existing investor Lexington Ventures also participating.

PortAuthority Technologies, formerly Vidius, a developer of information leak prevention today announced that it has raised Series C financing of $13.4 million.

Greylock Partners and Sequoia Capital led the round with existing investor Lexington Ventures also participating.

The round of funding will be used to expand sales,support and development staff. PortAuthority Technologies will also relocate its headquarters to Silicon Valley from Ra'anana.

Asheem Chandna from Greylock Partners and Shmil Levy from Sequoia Capital will join the company’s board of directors.

Chandna said, “Greylock and Sequoia conducted extensive technical and customer due diligence on the information leak prevention product space and believe PortAuthority Technologies has the best-of-breed technology that enterprises require.”

Levy said, "What’s unique to PortAuthority Technologies is the ability to not just detect, but accurately prevent information leaks."
