Firewall operations management firm AlgoSec said today that its technology is being used to protect the IT network of LGT Group. The LGT Group is the wealth and asset management group of the Princely House of Liechtenstein.

The AlgoSec solution wa installed by Swiss IT service provider Avantec AG. Avantec has used the AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer to provide enhanced security and operational efficiency to the firewall systems protecting LGT Group’s globally distributed IT network.

A global IT network connects LGT Group’s 29 worldwide branches and 1,700 employees who together manage assets of more than CHF 79 billion. As part of its role in safeguarding the integrity of this network, Avantec relies on the AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer to provide visibility, management and optimization of the dozens of security devices and thousands of firewall rules and policies that protect the perimeter, and function as the first and last line of defense.
