Apple Israel is expanding. The company has taken up its option to lease additional space in the O2 project in the Herzliya Industrial Zone with enough room to house hundreds more employees, which Apple will hire for its Israel development center.

Apple Israel's current offices in Herzliya Pituach, which it inaugurated in February together with the new area being leased will house about 800 employees including Apple's sales and marketing operations in Israel. Apple is leasing some 16,000 square meters from Bayside Land Corp. Ltd.(Gav Yam) (TASE: BYSD1).

At the end of February Apple CEO Tim Cook came to Israel to officially open Apple's development center in Herzliya Pituach and spoke briefly to employees. He also met with President Reuven Rivlin and former President Shimon Peres.
