Intel Israel president Mooly Eden quits

Eden is leaving Intel after 33 years to "seek new challenges."

Intel senior vice president and president Intel Israel Shmuel (Mooly) Eden is stepping down after 33 years at the company in order to "seek new challenges," Intel has announced.

Eden joined the company in 1982 and has served in many senior management positions in development centers, mobile and PC computer groups. He is currently also general manager Perceptual Computing. He was general manager of the Intel Israel development center from 1999-2003 and was responsible for the development of microprocessors and mobile chip systems including the Intel Centrino mobile chip and Intel Pentium M processor. In 2004, Eden was appointed VP Marketing in Intel's mobile platform group and led growth in the computer connectivity sector.

He said, "I have had the privilege to lead many Intel groups in a long line of jobs. Beyond that I was privileged to work with creative people who over the years became good friends."

In thanking Eden, Intel said, "His contribution to the company was huge."

Eden said, "I leave with a feeling of great satisfaction."
