The framework is an agreement between Oslo International Hub and Impact HUB Tel Aviv.

Companies from Norway and Israel are examining ways of cooperating on agritech and alternative energy, Aharon (Orni) Izakson, chairman of the Norwegian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, told "Globes". The cooperation efforts follow an agreement, the first of its kind, signed a month ago between the Oslo International Hub and its Tel Aviv equivalent, Impact HUB Tel Aviv, run by Yoram Lavi.

The aim of the agreement is to encourage the activity of startup companies in both countries and too cooperate on raising investment and exchange of know-how. The Israeli-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce and its parallel organization the Norwegian-Israeli Chamber of Commerce are also parties to the agreement. Each of the chambers of commerce has dozens of members from the two countries. They act jointly to recruit investors and strategic partners to implement and market innovative ideas in both countries. Among other things, they helped to bring some 20 entrepreneurs and companies from Norway to Israel to participate in events in the DLD Tel Aviv Innovation Festival that took place in late September.

Izakson, who is also honorary Norwegian consul in Israel, told "Globes" that two Norwegian technological developments are already being examined in Israel: a potentially revolutionary agritech development, and a process for producing alternative energy in large quantities. Izakson also sees cooperation developing in cybersecurity, and on innovative medical equipment from Israel.
