Israeli cybersecurity company Hysolate has raised $8 million, led by cybersecurity foundry Team8 and Eric Schmidt's Innovation Endeavors. The Team8 portfolio company, which has developed a disruptive hybrid endpoint architecture, has come out of stealth and launched its first product.
Hysolate was founded by CEO Tal Zamir, a veteran of an elite Israeli cyber unit and former R&D leader in Wanova (acquired by VMware), and Dan Dinnar, former CEO of HexaTier (acquired by Huawei) and executive sales officer at CyberArk Software, from its founding sales team and through its successful IPO in 2014.
In light of the rising number of cyber threats, enterprises typically try to lock down user devices, preventing users from fully browsing the web, installing new apps, connecting USB devices or communicating effectively with 3rd parties or the cloud. This frustrates employees and significantly decreases productivity. In other cases, enterprises adopt an "air gap" security model that requires users to actually carry two laptops: one unrestricted laptop for full Internet use and another strictly restricted laptop for privileged corporate access. While this dramatically improves security, productivity is further degraded.
Hysolate built its platform upon an alternative "hybrid" architecture that eliminates these challenges. The startup allows enterprises to run multiple side-by-side operating systems on a single workstation, providing a seamless experience for end-users while maintaining the highest level of security.

Hysolate is the fourth company to be launched out of Team8, joining Illusive Networks, Claroty and the recently launched Sygnia. Hysolate is working with some of the largest enterprises in the world, including several of the world's biggest banks, technology vendors, financial services providers and other enterprise organizations.
