Maxine Fassberg to head Intel Israel

Fassberg joined Intel Jerusalem in 1983 as a lithography engineer.

Intel today announced that Intel Israel CEO Maxine Fassberg will be at the head of Intel Israel, following the resignation of Shmuel (Mooly) Eden from the company.

Daniel Benatar, manager of the Fab 28 plant in Kiryat Gat and a recently appointed VP in Intel International, will replace Fassberg as Intel Israel production manager.

"Intel is Israel's largest and most advanced high tech company, and I'm very proud to continue leading with into the great challenges expected for it," Fassberg said. "Intel Israel will continue to be a technological spearhead in the coming years, and will continue its contributions to Israel's economy and society. I want to wish great success to Daniel Benatar, a talented manager who has already proved his many capabilities."

Fassberg joined Intel Jerusalem in 1983 as a lithography engineer. She managed the plant in Kiryat Gat (Fab 18) in 2000-2004, and was appointed manager of the new Intel Kiryat Gat plant (Fab 28) in 2006. She was appointed Intel Israel CEO in June 2007.

Benatar began working at Intel Jerusalem in 1993 as a diffusion engineer. He has since served in a series of engineering and managerial posts in the Intel production system. Since 2011, as manager of the Kiryat Gat plant, he has scored impressive successes, such as being awarded the prestigious Intel Quality Award. He said, "All the credit is due to the fab's wonderful employees."
