Comverse wins Belgian, Australian deals

Belgium's Telenet and Australia's Telstra bought Comverse products.

Comverse Technology Inc. (Pink Sheets: CMVT) has announced two deals in as many days, one in Belgium and the other in Australia. The company did not disclose the size of either contract, but market sources estimate the aggregate value at $15 million.

Belgian broadband cable services Telenet Group Holding SA (Euronext: TNET) will use Comverse ONE Billing and Active Customer Management as its real-time rating and billing platform for digital television, and mobile services. Telenet is a regular Comverse customer.

Australian telecommunications provider Telstra Corporation Ltd. (ASX; NZX: TLS) has launched the Comverse HUB Converged Messaging, enabling users to obtain all their messages - voicemail, picture messaging, text messaging, email and multimedia communications - in one secure, integrated mailbox accessible from both mobile handsets and desktop computers.

Comverse's share closed at $8.16 yesterday.
