Israel to sign cooperation deals with African countries

The International Christian Chamber of Commerce organized several hundred meetings for its congress in Jerusalem this week.

A delegation of five hundred businessmen and executives, members of the International Christian Chamber of Commerce, will arrive in Israel within the next few days to participate in an international business congress, at the Inbal Hotel in Jerusalem. The meetings will be from April 28th until May 1st.

During the congress with the theme, "Approaching A New Era," government leaders of Israel and of four African countries - Rwanda, Burundi, Benin and Liberia - will sign a unique document to promote commercial and economic cooperation between them. The International Christian Chamber of Commerce - ICCC - reports that in recent years those African countries have been experiencing their strongest growth and lowest inflation in over 30 years.

The actual signing ceremony will be on Wednesday, April 30th, with the participation of Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Eli Yishai. Each of the African countries will sign an economic and commercial cooperation declaration with Israel. The congress will officially open on Tuesday with the expected participation of the President Shimon Peres.

The aim of the congress is to forge and strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs, corporations, trade organizations and governments. The congress will also be attended by Manufacturers Association president Shraga Brosh, Israeli government representatives, and local exporters and industrialists.

ICCC President Dale Neill said that "the Congress and the signing of the agreements between Israel, Rwanda, Burundi, Benin and Liberia is an expression of our trust and confidence in the Israeli economy and its ability to help African countries that have been chosen because of the efforts demonstrated by the current administrations to establish ethical governance and a strong anticorruption policy."

In the course of the Congress, over 400 individual pre-organized business meetings will be held, with the aim to promote business and cooperation between Israeli businessmen, the African nations, and the business delegates attending the congress. Neill said that at the congress "we expect deals worth $150 million to be signed as a result of all the developments at the congress".

The Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce (ICC), the Manufacturers Association of Israel, and the Israel Export and International Cooperation Institute took part in the organization of the present Congress.

The ICCC is a global network of entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals with a base of Judeo-Christian values. It was founded in 1985 and represents millions of Christian businessmen from 100 different nations. The international president of the ICCC is Dale W. Neill from Los Angeles and the chairman and founder of the ICCC is Sweden's J.Gunnar Olson.
