ITGI Medical Ltd. (TASE:ITGI) reports success of its Pericardium Covered Stent placed in a patient's coronary artery. The company reported that, six months after the stent was implanted, the artery was still open and the blood was flowing normally. The procedure took place at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, UK.
The results were confirmed by Optical Coherence Tomography of the artery. Tests showed that the rebuilding of the artery wall after treatment with the stent appeared excellent. The results were published in the "Journal of Invasive Cardiology".
ITGI's share price rose 12.4% by midday to NIS 0.41, giving a market cap of NIS 30 million.
