Salesforce buys SaaS co Navajo Systems

The big winners from the deal are Navajo Systems CEO Dan Gross, David Moskowitz, Doron Avraham, and JVP.

Media sources report that Salesforce.com Inc. (NYSE: CRM) has acquired Jerusalem-based cloud security encryption start-upNavajo Systems Ltd. The company's technology locally encrypts and decrypts corporate data via its VPS platform before it leaves the enterprise and enters the cloud.

The big winners from the deal are Navajo Systems CEO Dan Gross, David Moskowitz, Doron Avraham and Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP).

Salesforce spokesperson Rochelle Garner told "eWEEK", "Salesforce.com doesn’t comment on rumor or speculation." She added, however, that the company would announce the acquisition and provide more details on its product plans at its Dreamforce conference in San Francisco next week.

JVP declined to respond, and Navajo Systems' website merely as a cryptic message, "Navajo Systems has decided to pursue a different strategy."

Navajo Systems was founded in 2009.
