Solar energy systems integrator Sunday Energy Ltd. has reached three more deals for the construction of mid-sized photovoltaic arrays on land owned by Kibbutz Holit, Moshav Nir Moshe, and Moshav Paamei Tashaz in the Negev. Sunday Energy will build a 36-megawatt photovoltaic array at each of the communities for a total estimated investment of NIS 650 million.
Each array will cover a 600-dunam (150-acre) site. The array at Kibbutz Holit will be built on industrial land within the kibbutz's built-up area, which facilitates rezoning the land for the production of electricity. The sites at Nir Moshe and Paamei Tashaz are on agricultural land owned by the moshavim, rather than land leased from the Israel Land Administration.
Sunday Energy said that its projects backlog now totals 104 megawatts, and that the aggregate investment in the projects is NIS 2 billion.
