President Peres to head to South Korea

The state visit's objectives include strengthening diplomatic, economic, and defense cooperation between Israel and South Korea.

President Shimon Peres will leave tomorrow on a state visit to South Korea. He will be accompanied by a delegation of 60 top businesspeople.

The executives are from defense companies Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT) and its subsidiary Elisra Group, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1), telecommunications systems developers, ECI Telecom Ltd., RAD Data Communications Ltd. and Radcom Ltd. (Nasdaq: RDCM), and Naan Dan Jain Irrigation Ltd., and other companies.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Benjamin Ben-Eliezer, Manufacturers Association president Shraga Brosh, and Export Institute director general Avi Hefetz will also join Peres. The President's Office said that the visit's objectives include strengthening diplomatic, economic, and defense cooperation between Israel and South Korea.

Peres will meet South Korean President Lee Myung-bak. Peres will raise a number of bilateral diplomatic issues and will discuss fulfilling the potential of bilateral economic and technological cooperation.
